TT-Thermo heaters are actually very simple, it runs and heats coolant fluid at the same time in the whole engine. Heater can handle glycol, which also lubricates the unit while its on. Element inside the heater warms the coolant fluid to 50-60 C° temperature and thermostat makes sure that it will not rise over that.

TT-Thermo heats regular engine usually in 30 minutes at -15 C° temperature, bigger engines needs a little longer time, usually 40-60 minutes max. Do not overuse the unit as the best efficiency is obtained when car is started immediately after the 0.5-1h heating.

XC series engine heaters can be installed at any position, so there is no limited mounting angle for them. Elements inside the TT-Thermo are not directly in coolant, so they will not "burn" from air bubbles in the system. XC series has a strengthen bearings and the pump it self is more powerful. NB! Do not install the heater under 20cm from fuel lines or filter. Before installing, look more possible details from the cars service book / instructions, or contact directly to repair shop that knows your vechile. If necessary, use professional car mechanic for the job.

NB! Models with schuko plugs are not for road use as they are only meant for industrial use (tractors, machines etc). All the Defa (XC) series are for road use.
