LSD:s are fit for all kinds of competitive driving and if needed, a compromise for the street. LSD brands that we have include Kaaz, Gripper, Cusco and Tran-X. Of these four Kaaz, Gripper and Cusco are the most popular.
The LSD:s are commonly maintenanceable and we have handy maintenance kits for them. These differentials will last!
The operating principle is almost identical in all limited slip differentials, of course depending from the manufacturer there can be slight differences in the ramp angles. In all of its simplity, the locking is done by a pack of friction discs and the pack tightens when torque is applied to the differential in either acceleration or engine breaking. The locks ram pangles define how hard the lock tightens in each situation.
